I have a very clever husband
I did a craft show recently that didn’t go well, but i’m not here to share that bit. It’s a nice little segue way into some new stuff i made FOR the craft show. Namely, some adorable animals playing in snow. Nobody bought them but the experiment was a success none the less. The experiment being that i’ve started working more on colored paper. My illustrations just seem to come out more finished. I feel like i’m cheating by using them but…meh. It’s the results i care about.
More Garfield you say? Hungry for Lasagna? well, now i am too…great….thanks….
I adore this fat cat so much that i decided to marry him with a newfound love of mine: Adventure Time!. Though the two are barely acquainted, i knew their love would spring afresh; and that love was destined for……a tee shirt!!!
I don’t normally promote myself or my junk too terribly much through here cuz, lets be honest, if you’re like me you tend to not read very much of other peoples posts (i love looking at the pictures though!). But, if you click the picture of me wearing the shirt, it will take you to a place where you can buy the design in all its glory! And in my unbiased opinion, this is one of the best things i’ve made all year. Seriously. You’re Welcome
Tomorrow, I bring you a little Yuletide cheer
A caricature group that i’m with on Facebook do weekly competitions of subjects ranging from superstars to your favorite cartoon show you watched growing up. Our objective: draw the subject in our own style and as crazy as possible! A few weeks ago, the subject was the Sunday Funnies; and i chose Garfield!
I grew up on Garfield. He was the first comic i ever read and was the reason i developed an interest in comics and cartoons in the first place. When i was in first grade, i found Volumes 2-4 of Garfield’s comics in a stack of old stuff in my parents attic. I didn’t quite understand all the jokes and thought maybe i wouldn’t be allowed to read them so i read them by night light :)
Enough about my kiddie stories; Here’s part 1 of my Garfield submissions. You’re Welcome
Still settling in after 2 hard months of travel. And yes, its been two weeks since then, but Thanksgiving was in there so half that rest doesn’t count. I think so anyway.
Our awesome caricature friends in Japan, Chihiro and Kuni, as Jordan and i to do a caricature of Tommy Lee Jones for an exhibition they are holding later this December. Of course i agreed to do it with a hardy “Heck Yes!”
I present Tommy Lee Jones: Space Cowboy. You’re Welcome
After Long journeys that took me far and wide, i wearily rest my head on a pillow that i forgot to wash 3 weeks ago before my adventure began. Smells like home!
I’m still at a huge loss for words as to what to share; mostly because there is way too much TO share. So for now, let me just say that its good to be home and already i miss the friends i shared all those adventures with. You’re Welcome
